The result is a smoothing of the lines on the forehead or neck, or around the area of the mouth, providing a more youthful appearance.

Botox can reduce the muscle activity that causes lines to form on the face. It is an increasingly popular non-surgical technique that initially must be done approximately every six months, but over time it can be utilized less frequently as its effects become increasingly longer lasting the more it is used.

TO START

Botox is an FDA approved, non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment. Like other non-surgical techniques, the process is less invasive and does not require the same time commitment as a surgical procedure. It involves a consultation to understand the unique goals of each individual, and can then be quickly completed, with no recovery time necessary. While the ease of this procedure is significant, its results depend on experience, knowledge and artistry.

ESSENTIALS

  • Botox is used mainly to treat the horizontal lines of the forehead, the vertical lines between the eyebrows and the crow’s feet lines lateral to the eyes.  It can also be used for lines on the bridge of the nose.
  • A typical treatment takes 10 to 15 minutes. The results are seen over the following 3 or 4 days.
  • Botox, like any cosmetic procedure, can be "overdone," producing unnatural results. Dr. Brady's attention in this procedure aims to create a gentle, natural, and more youthful appearance.
  • The results of Botox last for about 3 or 4 months.

RECOVERY

Minor side effects, like redness, swelling, slight, itching and discoloration can be experienced, but you can return to work and other activities immediately after the treatment.
